The hotel has a fabulous location overlooking the river, near the Kaohsiung harbor, and not far from downtown. The rooms have a mix of cigarettes and decade-old dust with little light and no view, though the strange chemical smell was not so nice. The staff are generally friendly and helpful, but there was one who needs further training as they offered the room I booked and paid for to someone else. The dining experience could benefit from more variety and better options for western guests. The hotel offers some decent facilities.
